Alshon Jeffery, WR

Alshon Jeffery has been quiet since the injury to Carson Wentz. It almost feel’s like Jeffery went down as soon as Wentz went down. Things got very frustrating for Jeffery towards the end of the season, but he hasn’t seemed to have given up on his current quarterback.

Alshon has continuously stated throughout the week last week that Foles is starting to heat up in the offense and they are forming a connection. He wasn’t lying as Jeffery had four catches for 61 yards last week against the Falcons. That was his highest amount of receiving yards since Week 13 back in Seattle.

While everybody was worried about Jeffery and Foles’ nobody seemed to remember that Jeffery and Wentz had similar issues. When the season began, Eagles fans were getting frustrated with Jeffery and Wentz’s chemistry. It just didn’t seem like it would work out and what do you know? Things started heating up after the Eagles bye week.

Now we are starting the witness the same thing between Jeffery and Foles. This week can and will be the week where they finally get something going. It seems like Doug Pederson will stick to the quick short throws and play action, which really works in Jeffery’s favor. You can expect to see number 17 running some slant patterns across the middle picking up around 10 yards at a time. If the Eagles get the ball rolling early, we may see Alshon snag a touchdown or two.
