The Philadelphia Eagles are getting their jersey’s ready for Minnesota!

It’s been a long time coming for the 2017-2018 Philadelphia Eagles. After a dominant season that was eventually filled with a ton of doubt, they are heading to Super Bowl LII. This year, the hosts of the National Football Conference will take on the position of the away team. Something that the Eagles haven’t done in quite some time now. Four games to be exact.

So with the Eagles being the away team, you would think their uniform combination would be the white jersey’s with green pants, right? Wrong. The New England Patriots have actually elected to rock their white jerseys with blue pants instead of going with their home team look.

We’re not sure what inspired the idea to go with the away look. But a stat from ESPN’s Adam Schefter may have something to do with it. According to Schefter, in the past 14 Super Bowl’s, the team who wore white came out with a victory 13 times!

For those who are superstitious, this stat could very well get inside your head. But also make sure to note that without a meaningless Week 17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles are undefeated in green this season. Now that we know what colors the Eagles will wear, let’s get the first look at the sweet new addition to the jerseys.

A new addition:

Sweet patch, Birds…

It’s been a while since the Eagles uniform had this awesome patch on them. The Philadelphia equipment managers got to work early on this week to have the Eagles game day attire ready in advance. Who would’ve guessed they would be facing the Patriots in a Super Bowl rematch back in training camp? You can admit you didn’t, it’s okay.

We’re all just as shocked as everybody else. This team deserves everything right now as they head in being looked at as the biggest underdogs in Super Bowl history. Although this game is quite a favorable matchup for Philadelphia, it is probably best for the team to keep on the underdog mindset. That has seemed to really motivate the Eagles throughout the playoffs. So bring it on, champs.
