They’re not intimidated.

Jacksonville got the ball back with 52 seconds left to play in the first half winning 14-10. A trip to the Super Bowl was on the line. They took two knees and went to the locker room. Maybe they didn’t want to give Tom Brady a chance at scoring more points. Maybe they didn’t trust Blake Bortles to lead the offense to collect another score. Either way, that’s called a case of pure intimidation. That’s called playing to not loose.

The Eagles got the ball back with 37 seconds to go in the half up 21-7. Foles moved his team down the field quickly with a couple of key passes and set up Jake Elliot’s 38-yard field goal that gave them a 17 point lead.

They weren’t intimidated by the Vikings defense. That’s called playing to win. They could have easily said, “You know what? We get the ball to start the second half. We’re up by two touchdowns. Let’s just go to the half.” But they didn’t. They made it a three-possession game and took the ball to start the second half. Foes threw another touchdown out of the gates. Before the Vikings could blink, they were down four possessions. It’s clear that the Eagles are playing to dominate.
