Philadelphia Eagles: 5 players that shined in Super Bowl LII
Nick Foles, QB
Let’s knock this one out immediately. If someone were to say that the Philadelphia Eagles would win Super Bowl LII with Nick Foles under center before the season had begun, everyone would look at that person like they were crazy. But the reality is that Nick Foles once again showed the world that he is the man.
He was once considered a fluke after that magical 2013 season that ended with him being named the Pro Bowl MVP. Now it is no fluke that Foles capped off his historic postseason while hoisting the Lombardi trophy as the Super Bowl MVP. Make no mistake about it, Nick Foles is a good quarterback when he is in the right situation.
Foles didn’t exactly put up Tom Brady numbers on Sunday night, but he definitely outplayed the future Hall of Famer at some points in the game. Sure, Foles 373 passing yards with three touchdowns looked good. But did Brady have a receiving touchdown?
Foles not only dropped dimes in the pocket, but he showed off his quality hands too. When it was all said and done, Foles deserved every bit of recognition coming his way after the game. And for that, number nine is living it up in Disney World!
