LeGarrette Blount, RB

We could go as far as to say that LeGarrette Blount will be one of the toughest free agents to let go of this season. While Blount didn’t emulate what he did in New England just a season ago, he was still a major addition to the offense. Especially when it mattered the most in the postseason. So with Blount set to walk soon, what should the Eagles do?

Similar to the New England Patriots, the Eagles have a loaded up backfield. All throughout this season, it was tough to tell who the true number one back is on the offense. Ironically enough, Blount was featured in both of those offenses at some point and did his job pretty well.

When you look at the Eagles backfield, Blount doesn’t necessarily issue the same amount of value as Jay Ajayi and Corey Clement. But his contributions in the playoffs from the field to the locker room prove that he really does help the Eagles organization out. Unfortunately, a player like Blount will walk if he feels like he is being low-balled. He showed that when he came to Philadelphia from New England. So the only way the Eagles could really bring Blount back is if he works with them and accepts a minimum contract.
