The Philadelphia Eagles could potentially use their late first-round pick on a Linebacker. Which top prospects could be in play?

Heading into the 2018 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles are in really good shape. Unlike previous seasons, the Eagles are looking for players to draft and develop, rather than looking for their next immediate superstar. Having the 32nd overall pick can be difficult to find true first-round value. But you never know which players can drop when draft day approaches.

The Eagles don’t have any glaring holes on their team. As of now, the only weak spots in terms of depth are really the offensive tackle position, safety, and linebacker. While they had some excellent play from guys like Mychal Kendricks and Nigel Bradham, there are still some concerns about the position moving forward.

Issues like Kendricks satisfaction, Bradham’s contract situation, and Jordan Hicks’ injury history make it tough for the Eagles to pass up on a linebacker. The Eagles need to start looking for the future of their linebacker core in this year’s draft.

Considering they have the final pick of the first round, the Eagles will most-likely not be able to get the cream of the crop. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that there aren’t some possible day two prospects at the position that would be worth the Eagles first-round pick. Who could the Eagles possibly take a chance on when draft day approaches?
