Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles has had quite the revenge tour in 2017.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been underdogs in all of 2017. After suffering injury after injury, the team continued to win with their next-man-up mentality. Guys like Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Rasul Douglas, and Corey Clement all stepped up in a big way when their respective starters went down. But there wasn’t an underdog on a mission quite like the veteran quarterback, Nick Foles.

We all know the story by now. Franchise superstar quarterback Carson Wentz goes down three games before the end of his MVP season. Then Nick Foles steps in almost “hustling” the rest of the NFL by looking atrocious, but in reality, he was just getting warmed up.

Just a couple of months later, Foles gets crowned with the Super Bowl MVP. Something that not one person can say they expected to happen at the beginning of the season. The 29-year-old veteran has been through a lot of ups and downs. After being drafted by the only team that scouted him at his Pro Day, Foles had a historic season in year two. But his incredible stat sheet wasn’t enough to keep him from getting traded away.

After Foles was sent away from Philly, things went downhill. He was benched for the St. Louis Rams and eventually released the following season. After contemplating retirement, Foles decided to give life in the NFL one more shot, and boy, did he make the right choice. As the 2018 league new year approaches, the Nick Foles revenge tour is coming to a close. Let’s look back at all of the wild events this past season.
