Philadelphia Eagles news: What to expect at the NFL Combine

NFL football is back in business as the NFL Combine begins, and the Philadelphia Eagles are looking to get better.

For the first time in team history, the Philadelphia Eagles arrive at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis as the defending Super Bowl Champions. It never gets old hearing that if you’re an Eagles fan, does it? Still, with that being said, there’s work to be done.

Head coach Doug Pederson and executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman are scheduled to speak to the media on Wednesday, February 28th at 12 noon (that’s Eastern Standard Time). Keeping up with the remainder of the itinerary can be a bit challenging, but don’t worry Eagles fans. ‘ITI’ is here to get you through it.

Here’s the schedule of what will be going on and when. This should keep you straight.

Tuesday, February 27th:

Groups one, two and three arrive in Indianapolis. That includes kickers, special teams players and linemen in group one, another group of offensive lineman who have been designated as group two and a group of running backs designated as group three. They’ll register, take a hospital pre-examination and X-rays and participate in interviews.

Wednesday, February 28th:

Groups one, two and three have their measurements taken, participate in medical examinations and media interviews. Groups four (quarterbacks and wide receivers), five (quarterbacks and wide receivers) and six (tight ends) arrive. They’ll register, take a hospital pre-examination and X-rays and participate in orientation and interviews.

Thursday, March 1st:

Groups one, two, and three participate in an NFLPA Meeting. From there, they have psychological testing done. Then, there are PK/ST workouts, the bench press and interviews. Groups four, five, and six have measurements taken and participate in medical examinations, along with interviews. Groups seven (defensive linemen) eight (defensive linemen) and nine (linebackers) arrive and register, take a hospital pre-examination and X-rays and participate in interviews.

Friday, March 2nd:

Groups ten and eleven arrive. Both groups consist of defensive backs. On their first day, they’ll register, take a hospital pre-examination and X-rays and participate in interviews.

Groups four five and six participate in an NFLPA Meeting, have psychological testing done, complete their PK/ST workouts, conquer the bench press and do interviews. Groups seven, eight and nine have measurements taken and participate in medical examinations and their team interviews.

The on-field workout of groups one, two and three is held, and they’ll, then, depart from Indianapolis.

Saturday, March 3rd:

Groups seven, eight and nine participate in their NFLPA Meeting. Then, they have psychological testing done, complete their PK/ST workouts, and conquer the bench press and do interviews. Groups ten and eleven have measurements taken and participate in medical examinations and their team interviews.

Groups four, five and six complete their on-field workout and then depart from Indianapolis.

Sunday, March 4th:

Groups ten and eleven have their NFLPA Meeting. Then, they have psychological testing done, complete their PK/ST workouts, complete the bench press and do interviews.

Monday, March 5th:

Groups ten and eleven complete their on-field workout and then depart from Indianapolis.
