After many rumors have come out, it looks like the Philadelphia Eagles will hold onto Nick Foles.

The quarterback market in the NFL this season is not very big. Aside from notable names like Kirk Cousins and Drew Brees, a lot of teams are opting to handle the position in the draft. One name that has constantly come up in trade rumors was Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback, Nick Foles.

Even though Foles was the MVP of Super Bowl LII, everybody and their mother knows that Carson Wentz is the starter when he gets back. But with the uncertainty of Wentz’ return, Foles becomes the best backup option for the Eagles. For obvious reasons, of course.

So just a couple of weeks ago, Howie Roseman set an official price for teams that were asking for Nick Foles. A first-round pick, and a fourth-round pick. Apparently, everybody expected the deal to be negotiable, but it doesn’t seem like Roseman is budging on anything. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are more comfortable with holding onto Foles, rather than trading him.

Foles will be back?

So there you have it. Considering the Eagles were rumored to get no more than a first-round pick for the Super Bowl MVP, it sounds like they will keep him home. Keeping Foles on the Eagles for another year is a smart idea considering Wentz will most-likely miss some time in the 2018 season.

The Eagles will stick to their asking price and definitely will not be strong-armed. So if teams are not willing to cough up their first-round pick for the veteran, then they will have to get in on the bidding war in the 2019 offseason when he becomes a free agent.

You never know, though. We’ve seen injuries happen and teams get desperate for a quarterback in the past. The Eagles got a first and a fourth-rounder for Sam Bradford in the past, so they could expect to see a similar deal for Foles if an injury happens to occur. But don’t count on that happening. As of right now, Foles will remain the starting quarterback of the Eagles as long as Wentz cannot perform.
