Add keynote speaker to Carson Wentz’s list of accomplishments.

He’s the head of the Carson Wentz AO1 Foundation. He’s a follower of Jesus Christ and unafraid to share his faith. Then, in his spare time, he’s the franchise quarterback of the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Wentz is one of the rare professional athletes that makes it easy to be a sports fan. Not only is he good at what he does on the football field, he’s a good guy off of the field as well.

Now, he can add keynote speaker to his resume.

Wentz to speak at the Lancaster Chamber’s annual dinner on May 23rd of 2018.

A part of The Lancaster Chamber’s mission statement is as follows. They’re a business-focused organization that helps people thrive, businesses excel and communities prosper. They have an annual dinner, and this year, Wentz has been asked to speak.

His speech, ‘The Show Must Go On: Success Through Dynamic Leadership’, will focus on drawing parallels between being successful on the football field and being successful in business. He shared some of his feelings on the honor in a written statement.

Here’s some of that.

"Our experience creating a winning culture, building a cohesive team, and working through adversity provide us with lessons that are applicable to many aspects of life and business. I am honored to share these insights with the Lancaster County business community and am grateful for the support this region has given me during my tenure with the Eagles."

Nelson Longenecker is the chairman of the Lancaster Chamber board of trustees, and he offered a statement of his own. “I think Carson represents the kind of leadership that really serves others and inspires them from any position on the field”.

Tom Baldrige is the president of the Lancaster Chamber, and he echoed some of Longenecker’s thoughts with his own. “There are tremendous lessons of teamwork, culture and resiliency that were part of the Eagles’ winning season, and Carson embodies them all”.
