Eagles DE Michael Bennett calls out NFC East quarterbacks
Philadelphia Eagles fans are going to love Michael Bennett’s mindset heading into the season.
It has been a little over a week since the Philadelphia Eagles acquired veteran defensive end, Michael Bennett. The three-time Pro Bowler was officially introduced as a Philadelphia Eagle on Monday afternoon following Daryl Worley’s press conference. Although it was just a general press conference, Bennett threw out some excellent quotes to the Philly media that will surely win over the Eagles fan base.
So we all know that the Eagles have a heated rivalry with each of the three NFC East teams. Well, Michael Bennett made sure to send out a warning shot towards each opposing starting quarterback as he gears up to dominate opposing offensive lines of the NFC East.
Bennett decided to namedrop every quarterback that he is coming for this season, which included the usual suspects such as Eli Manning, and Dak Prescott. Also, he made it clear that he is already very familiar with getting to the new Washington Redskins quarterback, Alex Smith. Check out what Michael Bennet said about the NFC East quarterbacks during his presser.
Bennett’s warning shot:
Eagles fans are going to love this guy. It’s no surprise that Bennett is already stuffing fear into the heads of the NFC East quarterbacks. After all, he knows that he is a significant addition to the already monstrous Eagles defensive line. It’s crazy to think that Bennett played more snaps in 2017 than any other Eagles defensive lineman.
Bennett will now get plenty of rest with the heavy rotation that Jim Schwartz and the Eagles utilize. That could mean more energy and fewer injuries for Bennett. Although injuries do not seem to stop him, Bennett looks to remain a lot healthier now with the amount of rest he will get on the Eagles in comparison to his workload that he had with the Seattle Seahawks.

It is pretty cool to see Bennett make himself aware of the Eagles rival opponents. His confidence matches his production, which is a major plus for the Eagles. So Manning, Prescott, and Smith better keep their heads on a swivel. Because not only is Bennett coming for them but so are quite a few of other guys.
