Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace has been in the NFL since 2009. The 31-year-old veteran has been a reliable target for his four previous teams, but he never quite had that dominant season that everybody expected past year two. As Wallace bounced around quite a few times, each new situation for Wallace was supposed to be bigger than the previous. Unfortunately, he was never able to find that same success that he had early on in year two with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

So what Mike Wallace isn’t a number one receiver? The Eagles could use his services either way. He is quietly coming off of a 748-yard season with four touchdowns. Any stat line close to that would be a significant upgrade from former Eagles starting wide receiver Torrey Smith.

It’s quite shocking to know that Wallace is still available at this time. It seems like his former team; the Baltimore Ravens is the only team that believes they could benefit from Wallace’s services. But don’t be surprised if the Eagles start to pick up some interest in the veteran if he remains unsigned. After all, the Eagles are the type of team to make a move when everybody least expects it. Wallace could be a great pickup on a cheap one-year deal for the Eagles.
