Allen Hurns

Allen Hurns became the most prominent name to hit the wide receiver market on Tuesday when he was released from the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 26-year-old veteran showed some promise with the Jaguars after his breakout season back in 2015. Although he hasn’t been able to match the same production from the last two seasons, Hurns’ age still makes him an attractive target for teams in need of experience at the position.

The demand for Hurns isn’t as high as it was expected, but his market price still may be out of the Eagles budget. There’s a good chance that the Eagles will look to go younger at the position, but it will most likely be through the draft.

This doesn’t mean that Hurns may not consider taking a pay cut for the Super Bowl champions, though. Apparently, Hurns asked for his release in Jacksonville because he did not like the way his future was starting to look with the team. If the Eagles do happen to have a plan for Hurns in place, he could potentially come to Philly on a one-year, prove it type deal just like Alshon Jeffery did last season.
