The Vince Lombardi Trophy tour around Philly keeps on going.

Does the Vince Lombardi Trophy ever catch a break? Every moment the Philadelphia Eagles coaches and players get they show off the shiny Super Bowl accomplishment. For good reason, of course. I mean, we didn’t wait 52 years just to let that thing collect dust and be forgotten.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson knows that he has to show that beautiful hardware off every chance he gets. Just last week, Pederson threw the first pitch out for the Philadelphia Phillies home opener (it was a strike, in case you were wondering.) That was another opportunity that he took to show off the Lombardi to a Philly crowd.

On Wednesday night, Pederson took the trophy out of the case once again, but this time to the Philadelphia 76ers game. As expected, he had a warm welcome with the crowd as he rang the honorary bell to kick things off.

There he is! Pederson was rocking the 76ers playoff campaign hoodies holding the one and only 2017 Vince Lombardi Trophy. Might we add that Pederson rang that bell with authority? If it were up to us, we would say that Douggy P. has become the king of pregame ceremonies in the city of Philadelphia.

Even after throwing out a perfect first pitch, and ringing the almighty liberty bell, the best pregame ceremony has yet to come. Week one of the Philadelphia Eagles season will be one that the city will never forget. That is when the Eagles will come out of the tunnel at Lincoln Financial Field announced as the reigning Super Bowl Champions. Once again, Doug Pederson will hold up the Lombardi trophy to show it off to the Philly crowd. Then it’s on to chasing the next one.
