The Giants have one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, and in a draft where no one’s really seen as a sure thing, except for Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson, taking the best interior lineman in the draft is a good option.
If the Giants do go with Nelson, he may immediately become their best lineman.
4. New York gets stronger on defense.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with adding to a defense that couldn’t stop anybody in 2017. Why take a running back who will get the ball about twenty times a game over a defensive end, Bradley Chubb, formerly of the NC State Wolfpack, for instance, who has the potential to wreck any offensive series on any play of the drive?
It’s a fair question right?
5. There could be a three-team trade brewing.
NFL Draft Scout Chad Forbes recently reported that the Giants may be one of the parties in a trade involving three teams.
Here’s the tweet:
One player won’t fix the Giants issues, and New York could quite possibly trade the second pick to move back and acquire more. Are there any interested parties who may want to trade up and find their franchise quarterback, the Buffalo Bills for instance?
We’ll all just have to wait and see what happens. Fortunately, it won’t be too much longer of a wait.
