When the NFLPA dropped its’ Top 50 Player Sales List, the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles were the most represented team with five players.

A little less than a week ago. The NFLPA (the league’s in-house player association) introduced its’ official numbers for player sales. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady topped the list once again. That’s the second time in three years by our count, but here’s what Philadelphia Eagles fans are going to find more interesting.

Five members of ‘The Birds’ found their way onto the list. That’s the most players of any NFL franchise. Kudos are in order for quarterbacks Carson Wentz and Nick Foles, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, running back Jay Ajayi and tight end Zach Ertz.

Wait. No love for the defense?

Here’s some cool stuff you may or may not know.

Before we get into the particulars, let’s check out a direct quote from the NFLPA on Philly’s version of ‘The Fab 5’. Take a look:

"The Eagles are the most represented team, with five players. In addition to Wentz (No. 3), TE Zach Ertz (No. 17), QB Nick Foles (No. 22), WR Alshon Jeffery (No. 43) and RB Jay Ajayi (No. 45) represent Philadelphia. This is the second straight year that quarterbacks from the same team appear on the Top 50 Players Sales List, since Prescott and Tony Romo appeared last year for the Cowboys."

It’s funny how things work out huh? At this same point last year, most of us were arguing about whether or not the Eagles were even a playoff team. Here we are 12 months later, and they’re now set to defend the crown as the top dogs of the NFL.

They pulled off what many thought was an impossibility. They did it with Nick Foles at the helm, and they did it in Foles’ second tour of duty with the team.

With that being said, it’s good to see him on the list. He’s sort of earned it, right?
