Andrew Brown, DT, Virginia

Round 5, Pick 169

Virginia’s Andrew Brown is an intriguing prospect at the defensive tackle position. While he was heading into in freshman season of college, Brown was recognized as a top recruit out of high school. He didn’t exactly shine as bright in NCAA as he did in high school. But Brown still has the tools to become a solid defensive lineman at the next level.

An opportunity for a player like Brown to come to the Eagles and learn from some major names like Fletcher Cox, Timmy Jernigan, and Haloti Ngata would be ideal. In no way would Brown be forced to take on many snaps, but he could improve his skill set throughout his time in training camp and preseason to eventually earn a rotational role in the defensive line.

Brown may not offer much as a pass rusher, but he would be a dependable addition to the already dominant rushing defense. As he is a hard worker and hardly took plays off in college, Brown could definitely be an excellent fit for the Eagles with their one-and-only fifth-round pick.
