Philadelphia Eagles: 6 Signings that failed over the years
Let’s take a trip down memory lane and remember all of the terrible signings the Philadelphia Eagles have made.
Looking back at the Philadelphia Eagles history, there isn’t too much to honestly be excited about. Sure, the Andy Reid era was fun at times, but the seasons never truly ended how the city of Philadelphia wanted it to. Finally, the Eagles achieved the Super Bowl dreams in 2017 under Doug Pederson. Now, the Eagles may certainly be the dynasty that they were hoping to be back in the early 2000’s era.
Getting here wasn’t easy, though. Eagles fans from all over had to suffer watching this team at times. From the 4-12 “Dream Team” to the Chip Kelly era that featured nothing but declining seasons. It’s safe to say that the Eagles front office did not make the brightest decisions at times. In fact, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman had to pretty much take a year off at one point because his work did not seem to pay off more often than not.
Now in the year of 2018, Roseman and the Eagles are building off of the success that was stemmed from the fresh start. At this point, it almost feels like Howie can do no wrong as he continues to bulk up the Eagles team through free agency and the draft. So since it is currently signing season, let’s remember some of the Eagles worst free agency decisions in recent times.
