Even with all of that said, Wilson goes undrafted.

Why are we showing you a picture of Kurt Warner? It’s simple. He went undrafted. It is sometimes assumed that a player’s football career will be dictated by their draft positioning. Guys like Kurt Warner, Jason Peters, and Antonio Gates have proven that to be inaccurate.

While Wilson isn’t expected to have a career as prominent as the guys we just mentioned, he could still bring something special to the Eagles’ receiving corps and prove, once again, that undrafted players can be successful at the highest level.

Another unknown finds his way to minicamp.

Wilson found himself competing with 22 other players at a three-day rookie minicamp. This served as a tryout. The five-foot-nine, 170-pound receiver didn’t let his diminutive stature or the high level of competition deter him. At the end of the day, he was the only player who left the field as a member of the 90-man roster. Philly signed him on Monday morning.

His signing not only sent the other 22 tryout players home. It also meant the end of the line for cornerback Jordan Thomas.
