With OTA’s starting up, which notable veterans are fighting for their jobs this summer?

A lot of things changed from the start of the Doug Pederson era to now. Being that the Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champions, there is no room for underachievers on the roster. The depth chart has changed dramatically in a positive way from the 2016 season to the 2017 season.

Using the wide receivers is a great example. Looking at the position go from Jordan Matthews and Dorial Green-Beckham to the new and improved Nelson Agholor and Alshon Jeffery is a massive upgrade. Now, the first two guys possibly couldn’t stand a chance on the Eagles final 53-man roster. That’s just the way it goes when you are a championship squad.

So this offseason will be quite unusual for the Eagles. While a lot of the young rookie hopefuls will likely be sent to the practice squad, a lot of notable veterans will be fighting for a roster spot as well. With the Eagles being so abundant in depth at most positions, no place on the final 53-man roster is a guaranteed lock for any backups. So who is currently sitting on the chopping block?
