Michael Bennett rocks an Eagles uniform for the first time
Finally, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett puts on his midnight green jersey.
The 2018 season already has Philadelphia Eagles fans on the edge of their seats. As the team is set to defend their first-ever Super Bowl title, the team seemed to improve on paper over the course of the offseason. Thanks to Howie Roseman and Joe Douglas, the Eagles continued to buy upgrades. Now, the already powerful defensive line is expected to be even more dominant in 2018.
Former Seattle Seahawks veteran defensive end Michael Bennett joined the Eagles a couple months back. The Eagles somehow pulled off a steal of a trade for the vet by sending a fifth-round pick and wide receiver Marcus Johnson to Seattle. Many NFL writers and analysts described the Eagles as “the rich get richer” as they added three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher.
Despite joining the Eagles roster back in March, Bennett still has yet to play for Doug Pederson and Jim Schwartz. As the team just wrapped up three weeks of OTAs, Bennett hasn’t given himself the chance to step foot in the Nova Care Complex since he arrived for his introductory press conference. As mandatory mini-camp approaches, some fans were curious to see if Bennett would show or not. Well, the good news is that Bennett is in Philly and ready to go.
Take a look:
The Eagles spent their Mini-Camp eve at Lincoln Financial Field with a media day for the NFL. All of the players dressed up in their uniforms and put on a show for the cameras for some TV shots for the upcoming season. Bennett threw on his Eagles uniform for the first time on Monday, and it looks like he will don the colors nicely.

Just in case Bennett’s presence at picture day isn’t enough evidence to know that he will be at practice, know that he has a meet and greet scheduled for Tuesday night in Philadelphia. For those who don’t know, Bennett released a book recently, and he plans to hold a signing and discussion about it in the city on Tuesday night hours after practice. So for anyone who was worried, it looks like Bennett is all settled in and ready to go in the City of Brotherly Love. Now, it’s go time indeed.
