Philadelphia Eagles vice president of football operations Howie Roseman’s been given the nod again for his role in turning his team into a Super Bowl winner.

It’s nice to see good things happen to good people. You all know the story. Not too long ago, the Philadelphia Eagles‘ vice president of football operations, Howie Roseman, was demoted by then-head coach Chip Kelly. Roseman stayed humble and emerged from his role as equipment manager. Then, he worked his way back to the top of the Eagles’ organization.

The Eagles aren’t the champions of the NFL without him. Everyone can see it, and during their victory tour, Mr. Roseman’s become the toast of Philadelphia and the rest of the football universe.

Here are a few more kudos to add to the list.

Recently, Vinnie Iyer of SportingNews.com ranked all 32 general managers in the NFL. The author of one of the great rosters in Eagles history took the top spot.

Here’s some of Iyer’s thoughts on the subject:

"After cleaning up the mess of Chip Kelly, Roseman got Philadelphia a Super Bowl ring with solid drafting (Agholor, Wentz, Barnett), plus aggressive (Jeffery, Ajayi) and sneaky (Foles) pick-ups in free agency. He also found players who could develop championship chemistry together. Roseman deserved SN executive of the year for 2017 even with some tough competition."

Just in case you’re keeping score, he moved up from his spot at number 20 on last year’s list. Here are a few of the names Sporting News and the rest of the football universe can think of when tipping their hat to Roseman:

"QB Carson Wentz, WR Nelson Agholor, WR Alshon Jeffery, RB Jay Ajayi, RB LeGarrette Blount, RB Corey Clement, G Brandon Brooks, QB Nick Foles, DE Derek Barnett, DE Chris Long, DE Michael Bennett, DT Haloti Ngata, LB Nigel Bradham, LB Jordan Hicks, CB Jalen Mills, CB Ronald Darby, CB Patrick Robinson, K Jake Elliott"

That’s just what he’s done since 2015. We’ll all have to wait and see what he has up his sleeve for the coming campaign. It’s safe to say Philly’s future is in good hands.
