Eagles quarterback Nick Foles hits the bullseye with his first-ever attempt at writing.

It’s nice to see good things happen to good people. It reminds us that nice guys don’t have to finish last. For Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles it’s been an interesting six months.

Not only has he added the title of Super Bowl MVP to his resume, he’s also become a best-selling author. His memoir, Believe It: My Journey of Success, Failure, and Overcoming the Odds, was published by Tyndale House on June 26th of this calendar year.

After the first week of July, we’ve learned Foles will be able to see his name on a rather exclusive list.

Yes, you’re seeing this correctly.

Foles’ masterpiece can be found everywhere from Amazon to Barnes and Noble to Foles’ own website. It details some of the ups and downs of his NFL journey. He’ll, now, be seen in the number five position on the New York Times’ Hardcover Nonfiction list on Sunday, July 15th.

Appearances on the best-selling lists of both Publishers Weekly and USA TODAY are on the way as well.

Take a look:

Foles is truly a man of the people.

Philly’s newest adopted son recently embarked on a book tour that took him to several cities in both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area. Said tour lasted for six days, some of which forced Foles to miss a meal or two. When all was said and done, Philly’s first-ever Super Bowl-winning quarterback had racked up quite a few ticket sales.

The proceeds of those sales will all go to charity. We’ll say that again. The money Foles made from his book tour and the money he’ll make from his book’s sales will all go to benefit charities in the Philadelphia and the Austin, Texas area.

Next: Thank goodness the Eagles never drafted Earl Thomas

‘Number 9’ won’t see a dime of the profits. It’s all a part of his attempt to make lives better for other people. Now, how can you not smile about the success of someone else when you see the bigger part of his plan and you know that it’s truly honorable?

That ought to make you want to go pick up a copy of his book for yourself.
