After defeating their division rival, the Dallas Cowboys, a week prior, the Philadelphia Eagles were eager to beat another opponent and extend their winning streak.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ 2017 regular season was totally opposite of what was happening with the Chicago Bears. Philly was enjoying the league’s longest winning streak, while the Bears were losers of three games. They were looking to end their slide and earn their fourth win.

Another significant difference was where the two teams stood in their division standings. ‘The Birds’ were leading their division while the Bears were last in the NFC North.

Philly was looking to stay ahead of the NFC East with a win against Chicago. And they did just that.

A hat-trick for Carson Wentz

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz had improved significantly since his rookie season. His stats alone showed that he had grown by leaps and bounds. Before taking the field against the Bears, Wentz had thrown for 2,430 yards and 25 touchdowns so far in the 2017 season.

Wentz extended that touchdown total against the Chicago Bears by throwing three more. He lit Chicago up for 227 yards, and his three scoring strikes went to three different targets, Nelson Agholor, Alshon Jeffery, and Zach Ertz.

Can’t beat Philadelphia Eagles chemistry

Throughout 2017’s regular season, Wentz had been making magic with his receivers. The chemistry between Wentz and his teammates was obvious, and there was no better evidence of that than what we were witnessing between Wentz and his tight end, Ertz.

Philly’s signal caller and pass catcher put on quite the show in week 12. The two not only hooked up for a touchdown, but they also connected for 103 yards on ten receptions.

Here is a look back at all of Wentz’s passes to Ertz.

Chicago wouldn’t beat the Eagles on this day, and the main reason was because they couldn’t stop Wentz from finding his favorite target.

The streak continues.

After defeating Chicago, Philadelphia’s momentum was at an all time high, and it didn’t seem like it was going to be running out anytime soon.

The win extended the streak to nine wins, and kept the Eagles in the lead of the NFC East. Heading into week 13, the Birds were now 10-1, and 6-0 at home.

The biggest questions on the minds of Philly’s fans: Would the Eagles beat the Seattle Seahawks, and would the streak continue? Well, Eagles fans would have their answer soon enough.

Here are the highlights from the Eagles’ week 12 win against the Bears.
