It appears everyone’s accounted for, but everyone won’t be participating when the Philadelphia Eagles begin some on-field work on July 26th.

Training camp is underway, and we already have some news on the injury front. On July 26th at 12 PM Eastern time, The Philadelphia Eagles officially joined each other on the field for the first time since winning Super Bowl LII. There were no real surprises as far as absences or holdouts.

We do have some news on the injury front however. Five Eagles are being placed on two lists no Eagles fan or coach likes to see their players on.

Defensive end Brandon Graham, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and special teams ace, safety Chris Maragos have been placed on the PUP list (physically unable to perform), while Tim Jernigan and Bryce Treggs have been placed on the NFI list (non-football injury).

We’ve all been aware of what’s been going on with these guys for quite some time.

Here’s an official update from the team’s Twitter account”

Here’s the skinny.

Graham’s been dealing with a high-ankle sprain since Christmas, but it didn’t keep him out of any in-game action. Thank goodness it didn’t. Graham is now the author of the most famous strip-sack in team history (we love saying that and will continue to do so).

Jeffery played trough 2017 with a torn rotator cuff, but it didn’t stop him from a beautiful pirouette that ended with the first touchdown catch of the Super Bowl. Since learning of said injury, he’s further endeared himself to Philly’s fans by showing unbelievable toughness, but we have no idea as to when we might see him on the field again.

Maragos suffered a knee injury in Week 6. The hope is he’ll be back sooner rather than later.

Jernigan is one of the most deflating names to see on this list because everyone is aware he’ll, again, be key to the Eagles’ success in 2018, Currently, he’s recovering from back surgery. The hope is he’ll be back for the opener.

Most of us were unaware that Treggs was dealing with anything, but his appearance on the NFI list has most fans and coaches hoping this won’t effect his ability to compete for a roster spot. The Eagles, as you know, are loaded with options at wide receiver.
