Philadelphia Eagles have an interesting battle at weak side linebacker
When the Philadelphia Eagles released Mychal Kendricks on May 22nd, they created a very intriguing and potentially concerning position battle.
It’s been perceived that the Philadelphia Eagles have downgraded at linebacker. Mychal Kendricks left, and free-agent signing Paul Worrilow, from the Detroit Lions, tore his ACL on the first day of OTA’s. That caused many fans to begin speculating about what the Eagles would do to fill the gap.
Some thought Eagles executive vice president of football operations and reigning NFL executive of the year, Howie Roseman, should make a move for a replacement due to the perceived weakness at the position. As of the time of this writing, no such move has been made.
Howe as Olenna Tyrell from Game of Thrones once said “Once of the cows been milked there’s no pushing the cream back up the udders so here we are to see things through.” In that spirit let’s take a look at the potential replacements to take over for Kendricks’ in the starting role at the weak side linebacker now that training camp is underway.
