The Philadelphia Eagles have, officially activated Bryce Treggs from their non-football injury list.

Following practice on the first day of August, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson mentioned how nice it would be to have Bryce Treggs on the field with his teammates. One day later, it appears he’ll get his wish. According to an official statement by the team, the Eagles have officially activated their young wide receiver from their non-football injury list.

The news broke shortly after breakfast. Here’s the official tweet from the team’s account. Take a quick look:

Here’s the skinny on Treggs if you need it.

This wideout played his college ball for the California Bears before going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers signed him on May 6th, only to waive him on September 3rd of that same year.

Philly claimed him off waivers a day later. They cut him on September 2nd of 2017, almost one year to the day after signing him, but they signed him to their practice squad on September 3rd.

On October 4th of last year, the Cleveland Browns signed Treggs from Philly’s practice squad. They waived him on December 13th (it’s almost certain that he didn’t mind that). The Eagles’ brass and their coaches have always been a fan of Treggs’ though. There just haven’t been enough spots to add him to the active roster.

For that reason, they re-signed him to their practice squad on December 14th. That’s a good thing for him. That means he got himself a Super Bowl ring after the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 on February 4th.

Three days later, Treggs signed with Philly again. This time, he hopes to play a more central role in helping the Eagles deliver what might be a second-straight Super Bowl appearance and a Lombardi Trophy to the ‘City of Brotherly Love’.

Again, it may be a tall order for him to make this Eagles roster. They’re even more loaded than they were a season ago. Treggs may be on yet another collision course with the practice squad.
