It’s still hard to wrap your mind around. Isn’t it? The Philadelphia Eagles signed Christian Hackenberg. Where in the world did that come from?

Some of us were just settling in from church. Others were relaxing. Some were getting ready to transition back to getting ready for work on Monday. Others still were just about to get ready to start brainstorming about what was for dinner. Then, the news broke. The Philadelphia Eagles had signed former Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg.

Almost immediately we all went to our cell phones and fired up our laptops and tablets. This couldn’t be true. The Eagles are set at quarterback right?

Carson Wentz and Nick Foles are both shoo ins to make the roster. Nate Sudfeld is a guy the coaches have been in love with for a while. Joe Callahan was probably the odd man out, but he’d lighten the workload for Foles and Sudfeld until Wentz was ready to go.

Once we all hit Twitter, we knew this story had some credence. Take a look for yourselves:

Now, a deep quarterback room gets even deeper, and the mind begins to turn with all kinds of thoughts. Don’t leave ITI out. We’ve been discussing this one all night. Don’t worry. We’ll let you guys in (a little).
