One Philadelphia Eagles fan placed a billboard honoring the Super Bowl Champions outside of Gillette Stadium of all places.
Super Bowl LII and February 4th of 2018 will live in the minds of Philadelphia Eagles fans forever. There were so many classic moments: Alshon Jeffery‘s pirouette in the end zone, Corey Clement‘s catch and run and his catch in the back of the end zone and the ‘Philly Special’ to name a few. Then there’s Brandon Graham‘s strip-sack. How could we forget about that one?
The Eagles’ first Super Bowl victory is also punctuated by one fact. They had to to beat the greatest dynasty in league history, led by, perhaps, the greatest quarterback and coach in league history in order to get it done.
The first Lombardi Trophy in Eagles history was always going to be a special one, but stop and think about what they did. They took down the New England Patriots. It would have been awesome, but it wouldn’t have been as fun had it been the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It had to be the Patriots. What better story could be written?
Last year’s two best teams meet again in the preseason.
It’s hard to find an Eagles fan who’s in a bad mood these days, and even though ‘The Birds’ and Patriots are scheduled to meet on Thursday night, calling this a ‘Super Bowl rematch’ is a bit of a stretch. Believe us. People have tried and will try.
Still, this is last season’s two best teams, and one Eagles fan, Gina Lewis, wants to make doggone sure the Patriots and there fans remember who won the last game of the 2017-18 season.
Take a look:
This is what Patriots fans, players will see when they come to their preseason game Thursday night against the Birds in Foxboro.

This is outside Gillette Stadium! Eagles fan Gina Lewis was able to put this up in their territory to remind them who won the freakin Super Bowl! pic.twitter.com/aHeAJ8f5nl
Ladies and gentlemen. This isn’t in Philly. This is right outside of Gillette Stadium! Homegirl deserves a bronze star for this one and a seat with Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie at the Eagles’ first home game for this one. Don’t forget the banner will be dropping in that one.
Licensing restrictions prevented the use of certain images and scenes, but it’s the thought that counts in our book.
Here’s a quote from Eagles Super fan Gina Lewis.
Sorry not everyone loves it. It’s hard to please everyone. But licensing restrictions tied our hands which is why logos are smeared and jerseys are different. We tried our best to encompass all major points of our win.

We forgive you Ms. Lewis. If any Eagles fan or anyone else bothers you on this one, tell them that’s a ‘you problem’.
