The Philadelphia Eagles pay a visit to the Cleveland Browns for the third week of the preseason. Which five players are under a microscope?

It’s the third week of the NFL preseason, better known as the ‘dress rehearsal’ game around the league. That means that the Philadelphia Eagles will utilize their starters for at least an entire half, before benching their critical players until week one of the regular season.

As of right now, the Eagles are not in the best shape, due to a ton of injuries. It’s not a secret that the week one roster may look a bit weaker in comparison to how they looked last year. Well, that’s what makes this week so important for the Eagles.

The Birds will travel up north to Ohio to face the new and improved Cleveland Browns. It may not be the most challenging opponent to date, but the Eagles shouldn’t sleep on the team that was win-less just a season ago. Seeing the Eagles get off to an atrocious start against the New England Patriots last week, this game will be far from a walk in the park.

This week’s game will be the closest look to the regular season starting roster as we are going to get. There’s still a chance that Darren Sproles, Jason Peters, Alshon Jeffery, Carson Wentz, and Brandon Graham can all play week one, but nobody is relying on it. We need to see a stellar first half from the starters in order to feel comfortable with the team heading into the regular season. So with that being said, here are five players to watch during Thursday nights battle against the Browns.
