Philadelphia Eagles fans are going to love what ESPN’s Stephen A Smith had to say about the Dallas Cowboys.

Sometimes, you find wisdom in some unexpected places. Such was the case when ESPN’s Stephen A Smith sat in front of a microphone and discussed the Philadelphia Eagles and all three of the other teams in the NFC East on Monday during his radio show.

What started as a bit of a rallying cry for Eagles fans, and what was seemingly Smith’s attempt to assure Philly fans that everything would be alright (even if Wentz was absent for a few games) turned into something else entirely.

Once Smith’s thought process shifted to the Dallas Cowboys, it was almost as if a bomb went off.

Take a look for yourself:

Now here’s what’s interesting. Smith can be a little loud and obnoxious at times. Here, at ITI, we’ve even gone the route of calling him ‘Sreaming A’ on several occasions. Still, when you’re right, you’re right.

We’re just calling a spade a spade.

It’s difficult to find any error in what Smith has said on this go around. You know how Cowboys fans are. The only people who don’t are, well, Cowboys fans. We don’t keep saying this stuff over and over for no reason.

It doesn’t matter who you ask. It doesn’t matter who you poll. We keep talking about this, and we keep getting led to the same conclusion. Don’t believe us? Let’s try it.

Ask yourself honestly. Is there a more delusional fan base in the NFL or any other sport? When you talk football with your friends or coworkers, which fan base comes off as the most difficult to reason with? Is there any other group of fans that are more irrational?

The answer to that question has been said more times than we’d like to remember, but just for kicks, if you can come up with another fan base that tops the guys in grey and blue, then we’d love to hear from you.

Don’t worry. We’ll wait.
