Nick Foles does what it takes and was good enough.

Much like Super Bowl LII, where he showed he has skills as a receiver, Foles did it again, proving he’ll do whatever it takes to put a ‘W’ in the win column. His 15-yard reception from Agholor helped turn the tide in Philly’s favor during the third quarter. That play also led to a touchdown that put Philly ahead.

Now, that isn’t to say that Foles should trade in his ‘number nine’ jersey number and slide on a number that’s somewhere in the eighties, but the Eagles should think about utilizing his athletic ability.

Don’t throw him in harm’s way often, but maximize his ability. Foles has shown an unteachable ability to work outside of the framework of the playcall. He’s also shown, he can get the job done and help the Eagles to wins, even if the methods aren’t always conventional.

Speaking of wins, the Philadelphia Eagles just kicked off the 2018 season with a win. It does feel good if you’re a fan. Forgive them if the on-field product wasn’t always pretty.

There are lot of things that Philly needs to work on, mainly the offense, but the defense isn’t skipping a beat. If they tighten up some things, this could be another great year for Philly fans, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. After all, it’s only the first week of the season.
