Philadelphia Eagles: Carson Wentz shows his love for Nick Foles
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz showed some love to his teammate and friend Nick Foles as some of the other ‘Birds’ took to social media to celebrate QB1’s return.
As far as the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans are concerned, Nick Foles, in his second act with the team, did everything that you could have asked for from your backup quarterback. No other man on the planet can say he was the quarterback on the Eagles’ first-ever Super Bowl winning team. Once upon a time, we all thought that man would have been Carson Wentz.
You all know the story though. Wentz tore his ACL and LCL while in the middle of a push for NFL MVP, and though the Eagles went on to clinch their division, much of the belief that they had a shot at winning the Super Bowl dwindled.
Then, ‘Saint Nick’ stepped in, got his confidence back, and, by the time Philly reached the NFC Championship Game, he had turned into Joe Montana.
A welcome back party breaks out, and Wentz thanks a good friend.
On Sunday, Carson Wentz makes his long-awaited return to the playing field, and he’ll do so in front of the fans at Lincoln Financial Field. Philly can rest easy knowing they have the two best quarterbacks in the NFC East.
No one else has a Super Bowl MVP as their backup, but though Foles probably deserves the opportunity to start somewhere else, he’s happy in Philly. This is home, and he’s always known the situation. If Carson Wentz is healthy enough to play, then it’s Wentz who will be under center.
QB1 showed his excitement to be back on social media on Monday after it was announced that he had been cleared for contact. Take a look:

As great as all of that is, you still have to show love to Nick Foles for what he’s done. Mr. Wentz showed love to his big brother as well:
Here’s a quote from head coach Doug Pederson:
"Nick has understood all along that this is Carson’s football team. We drafted Carson to be the guy. We owe a lot of gratitude to Nick Foles for what he has done, what he has done this season, and how he has led this football team."
Enough said. What could we possibly add to that? Thanks for everything Mr. Foles. You’re in the Eagles fans’ hearts forever.
