Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has been named the starter for Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts, but is he worth a fantasy start?

Before Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz suffered a season-ending injury last season, he was on pace to winning the NFL‘s Most Valuable Player award. That’s a little nugget that you may have heard a time or two.

His stats from the 2017 season are astonishing. Through just 13 starts, the Eagles’ signal caller finished with 3,296 yards, 33 touchdown passes, and only seven interceptions. His impressive stats helped earn Wentz his first Pro-Bowl selection.

While he didn’t get to finish the regular season or participate in the post-season his impact was heavily felt. His play throughout his 13 starts helped the Birds gain momentum heading into the playoffs. The Eagles’ first Super Bowl victory is highly credited to Wentz’ leadership and overall performance.

Wentz has not played a down of football since his injury in Week 14 of the 2017 season. But all that is about change. ‘Number 11” is not only active, but he has been named the starter for Week 3 versus the Indianapolis Colts.

He’s finally 100 percent. but several questions remain.

Is he ready to lead this team to another successful year? Will he be as productive as he was last season? Perhaps, the biggest question being posed is being done so by NFL fantasy owners. Should I start Carson Wentz?

It always come back to fantasy football, doesn’t it? Well, let’s figure this out. So, should you start him? While there are some risks in starting Wentz, the biggest risk would be not starting him. Here’s why.
