Here’s something you’ll want to check out. NBC10 in the ‘City of Brotherly Love will air a very powerful feature on Philadelphia Eagles guard Brandon Brooks.

If all that you know about Brandon Brooks is he’s a Pro-Bowl caliber guard and the Philadelphia Eagles got lucky when they snagged him from the Houston Texans, then you’re missing quite a bit of an amazing story. Sometimes, we believe that these NFL guys have it made because they’re rich and they play a game that many of us wish we could play.

What we, sometimes, forget or, often times, don’t know is many of these guys deal with a lot of the same issues as many of us. For Brooks, being one of the best interior linemen in all of football meant that he had to overcome his issues with anxiety.

How about we take some time and tip our hats to one of the league’s best?

Anxiety disorder affects over 40 million adults in our great country who are over the age of 18. This is a fact that Brooks knows all too well. He’s been a starter in 76 of the first 82 games he’s played in, but it was anxiety, not a physical injury, that kept him out of two games of a three-game stretch in 2016.

NBC10 in Philadelphia will air a feature on Brooks during their Inside The Eagles broadcast (we like the name but not the spelling). That will air on Saturday night at 7PM EST, just one game prior to Philly’s game in Week 3 versus the Indianapolis Colts at Lincoln Financial Field.

This is one of those features that may be good enough to make you do a Google search or see if someone’s uploaded it to YouTube. It isn’t available to the general public yet, but it’s the kind of feature we all need to see.

Here’s a quick preview:

Brooks is a fixture along the Eagles’ offensive line and should be for a while. He’s entering the third year of a five-year, $40 million contract he signed on March 9th of 2016. He started 14 games in 2016 and all 16 games in 2017.

Next. Brandon Graham gives Colts some bulletin board material. dark

Following the 2017 regular season, he was elected to his first Pro Bowl. He’s only 29 years old, and it appears that his best days are ahead of him.
