Corey Clement, RB

Corey Clement will be issued another big test on Thursday as he is set to take on the number one spot on the depth chart. Don’t be surprised to see a ton of Wendell Smallwood in the mix as well though. The Eagles could and should roll with the hot hand, but Clement is going to see his fair share of usage as well.

The Eagles have missed Clement’s services lately. Although he was active last week, he didn’t register a single snap. Looking at it from afar, it was puzzling. But now that Jay Ajayi is injured, it was probably a good call for the Eagles to keep Clement on the sidelines.

Doug Pederson hasn’t stayed true to the run game so far, but he knows it needs to change. Carson Wentz is dropping back and throwing way too many times, and the Eagles need to find some balance between the run game and the passing game.

That’s where Clement is going to come into play. The Eagles evidently missed his playmaking abilities, and he needs to be out in full force on Thursday night to pick up for the slack on the offense.
