3. His stock is plummeting all over the NFL.

Remember when we asked if Doug Pederson was the man to lead Philly? Does anyone want to admit that part of the reason we used to ask that was because we used to believe the best coach on that staff may have been the defensive coordinator?

Oh, no one wants to own up to that now, huh?

Not too long ago, Jim Schwartz was rumored to be on some teams’ radars to become their head coach. That isn’t the case any more. Does anyone want to take a guess as to why that’s the case?

4. He seems to lack the ability to make adjustments.

It’s year three, and this team isn’t evolving on defense. All the pressure is on the line to get sacks. The linebackers need to be able to be effective in pass coverage and help out at the second level. The corners are often left on islands.

He never brings a blitz. He doesn’t adjust when things go wrong, and now, we can’t even say, with confidence, that this team can come up with key stops on fourth and ten or more.
