This week, ‘Eagles Roundup’ focuses on Malcolm Jenkins’ emotional couple of days and a final look at his feelings following Sunday’s loss.

Being a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles has allowed most of us to witness quite a few athletes who have both entered and left the ‘City of Brotherly Love’. There have been many men to wear both the kelly green and the midnight green. Recently, it’s been hard to find anyone who’s more passionate than Malcolm Jenkins.

Ever since his arrival, we’ve learned one thing about Mr. Jenkins, he definitely isn’t shy. It’s also difficult to find a more generous man who takes every opportunity to use his platform and money to make the lives of other people better.

Oh, and let’s not forget no one can deny he’s completely sold out to the idea of giving 100 percent to his football team. Jenkins’ professionalism and hustle in a game that was over, seemingly, in the first quarter was a huge topic of conversation.

A few days later, his frustration with some of his teammates for not showing the same effort became a talking point.

Jenkins calls out teammates.

Not too long after flipping off New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton for what he felt like was running up the score, Jenkins called out teammates for their demeanor. Take a look at some of what he said in a conversation with several media members, including ESPN.com’ Tim McManus:

"It was just embarrassing quite frankly. It was one of those things that I didn’t feel like as a team we had a lot of fight. I’d rather get thrown out of a game then just lay down and take it."

Jenkins continued to share his frustrations, not only about losing to his former team, but also about the pain of having to continue the fight with so many of his teammates succumbing to injury. Here’s more:

"..And it was a ton of frustrations. One being, obviously, me going back to New Orleans. That’s a game that meant a lot to me, but just the demeanor of the team really bothered me, and then just the frustrations of having guys that you work hard with and spend a lot of time with get injured. It’s just a rough day overall, but at this point in time we need to figure out some things about ourselves."

Well, it’s hard to disagree with any of that.
