Alshon Jeffery, WR

Speaking of Carson Wentz and his rough last couple of weeks, let’s talk about his number one target, Alshon Jeffery. Why aren’t these two on the same page all of a sudden? It feels like whenever Jeffery makes a catch, it needs to be a ridiculous grab since Wentz’s throw is inaccurate. But when Wentz does put it on the money, Jeffery drops it after contact.

What happened to the Wentz-Jeffery connection? Jeffery played exceptionally well against the Giants during their first matchup as he reached the end zone twice. Now, the Eagles need to do all they can to make that happen once again.

This week’s game will separate those who are good, and those who are great. We all assume that Jeffery is that guy who is going to make clutch receptions no matter how difficult the situation is, but so far this season he hasn’t done that when it’s mattered the most. If Alshon is indeed a number one, then he needs to show it this week with playoff hopes on the line.
