The Philadelphia Eagles will probably go against Reuben Foster this week when they play against the Washington Redskins.

Last week, the Philadelphia Eagles won the most critical game of the 2018 season. Unfortunately, with the position that they are in, almost every single game for the remainder of the season will be considered the most crucial game of their season. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but it’s true. Therefore, this Monday’s game against the Washington Redskins will be yet, another do or die situation for the Eagles.

The Redskins aren’t the top dogs that they were a few weeks back. Despite having a decent start to the year, the absence of their starting quarterback, Alex Smith has made them significantly worse now that Colt McCoy is under center. And although the offense isn’t all that great, their defense has been decent, to say the least. And guess what? They just got better.

Now, don’t think that the Redskins made the right move with their newest pickup. Washington attempted to turn trash into treasure with the newly released Reuben Foster, but this plan may backfire on Washington. As you probably already know, Foster was released from the 49ers, due to his off-field incident that involved domestic violence. He was sent to the waiver wire and turns out that the Redskins (not the Cleveland Browns) were the team that put in a claim for him.

Foster joins the Redskins this week

Although Foster could end up getting suspended by the NFL sometime in the near future, right now he is eligible to play. And since the Redskins acquired him on Tuesday, there’s a legitimate shot that Foster plays against the Eagles on Monday Night Football next week. Will this make much of a difference? Probably not. It takes some time to get settled into a new role in the NFL, and a few days to prepare likely won’t affect the Redskins-Eagles matchup much this week.

Next. Did you notice that someone was missing on Sunday?. dark

If you think about it, the Redskins are going to have a long week dealing with what could potentially be a PR nightmare. There will be tons of backlash, and millions of questions for the coaching staff, front office, and Redskins’ players. If anything, this move could end up being a distraction for the Redskins as they prepare for the Eagles, which is a good situation for Philly.
