When it rains, it pours at the Nova Care Complex for the 2018 Philadelphia Eagles.

*Update: Carson Wentz has been diagnosed with a fractured vertebrae, per Adam Schefter.

Since the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, nothing has gone right. They haven’t followed up their biggest year in franchise history with a winning season so far. Injuries have been coming out of nowhere nonstop. And now, their franchise quarterback Carson Wentz is looking to miss time once again, and will probably be ruled out for the rest of the season.

Honestly, is anybody surprised right now? Everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong. And surprisingly, the Eagles aren’t even doing all that bad. Six wins with seven losses isn’t a terrible record considering the circumstances. And also, if they go 1-2 on this final stretch of the year with Nick Foles under center, it just proves that the Eagles are going to be fine when healthy.

However, we just need everything to hold up internally. You know what they say, ‘winning heals all,’ meaning when teams are winning, there’s rarely ever locker room drama. We saw that side of the Eagles last season. This year, we’re seeing just how well they can hold up while losing. We haven’t heard of anything crazy just yet, but apparently the handling of Wentz’s newest injury has caused some players to grow frustrated recently.

Were the Eagles keeping secrets?

According to 97.5 The Fanatic midday host Jason Myrtetus, the Eagles were well-aware of Wentz’s back problems. It was all reported as soreness back in October, but Doug Pederson and the rest of the staff would never further elaborate, as you know. Rumor has it; Carson Wentz apparently had a fracture in his back, but would never be made aware of it until now.

As Myrtetus reports, the Eagles locker room is not entirely happy with this outcome of the situation. Tons of fans have grown skeptical of the Eagles medical staff over the duration of the season, but it looks like the players are going to start really losing trust in them as well. To double-down on the situation, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that Wentz’s scan on Wednesday came back as inconclusive, and now he will get an MRI on Thursday.
