Chris Long shows a lot of love for Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback, Nick Foles.

The locker room chemistry for the Philadelphia Eagles has hit some lows this season, in comparison to last year. Things are beginning to rise up though. For a second there, it really seemed like this team was no longer close. I mean, we had defensive captain Malcolm Jenkins calling out guys for basically quitting. Then, there was an anonymous source who believed that the chemistry was off compared to last year.

These changes tend to happen when teams begin to lose. As the Eagles were a long way from defending their title as Super Bowl Champions again this season, it seems like they are starting to play entirely as a team now. The chemistry is trending up once again, as the Eagles lost the heart and soul of their offense in Carson Wentz. Fortunately, the team is already used to rallying around the backup quarterback, and Super Bowl MVP, Nick Foles.

Last week, the Eagles might’ve handed in their most complete game against an outstanding team. The defense was almost lights out for three quarters, and forced multiple turnovers. On the offensive side of the ball, Nick Foles took control and spread the ball around nicely, as Doug Pederson called one of his best games of the year. Now, spirits are high, and Eagles defensive end Chris Long is trying to keep the sound energy in the locker room!

Chris Long creates a Nick Foles shrine in the locker room

Chris Long is a selfless guy, and we already knew this. So to see pictures of one of his teammates posted up in his locker stall isn’t all that surprising. As you can see above, an image from Foles’ days with the Rams is posted up next to his book titled “Believe It,”  which was released over the summer after Foles blew up around the NFL.

Also, there are some candles there (not lit) to keep the spirits high. Why? Because apparently, it’s good energy for Nick Foles and the rest of the team heading forward. The Eagles have to win out for the next two weeks in order to have a shot for the playoffs. At this point, the team is going above and beyond to make those two wins happen. So if it includes adding a Foles shrine to the locker room, it’s going to get done.
