The Philadelphia Eagles have a few unanswered questions about their injury roster this week, and Doug Pederson doesn’t have many answers.

What’s more frustrating than the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles have been injured continuously in 2018? I have the answer for you – it’s the fact that Doug Pederson, for some reason, absolutely hates giving the media any sort of injury update.

We get it – the Eagles would only be helping out the other team with injury updates, but if it’s not someone like the quarterback, it shouldn’t really matter all that much anyway. And oh, by the way, Nick Foles, not Carson Wentz, will be starting this week. So, there’s that for anybody wondering.

As far as a few other guys go, we’re still waiting to see where they are at with their progress. Eagles deep threat wideout Mike Wallace hasn’t seen the field since the first quarter of week two this season. Wallace ended up fracturing his leg, which kept him out for a while.

Just because Wallace has missed Weeks three through 17 though doesn’t mean he can’t return for playoffs. Just last week, the Eagles activated Wallace from the Injured Reserve. Now, he’s going to be questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.

Where are the Eagles at with key injuries?

According to Doug Pederson, Mike Wallace and offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo have to show improvement in practice this week in order to play on Sunday. For Seumalo, he would most likely return as a backup this week even if he is good to go.

As for Wallace, I’d honestly be shocked if the Eagles medical staff give him the green light already. Considering that he started practicing two weeks ago and has yet to have a full practice, it’s hard to imagine that he gets thrown into the fire during the first round of the playoffs.

Another critical name from this season has been the second-year cornerback, Sidney Jones. Ever since his arrival in Philly, Jones has been injured. When he returned last season from his torn Achilles, he left the game early with hamstring issues.

He had the opportunity to start the year off healthy this season, but once again Jones had nothing but lingering hamstring issues all season long. He hasn’t played since the Eagles visited Dallas a few weeks back, and it looks like he’s going to be a longshot for Sunday’s game as well.
