Jason Peters and the Philadelphia Eagles will look forward to their rematch against the New Orleans Saints this week in the playoffs.

Another week, another playoff game that the Philadelphia Eagles will have the opportunity to play in. If you asked us in the beginning of December whether we believed the Eagles would have another chance or not to play the New Orleans Saints in the postseason, we would’ve laughed it off. That Eagles team looked finished by the end of November. I mean, the Saints literally crushed them by 41 points on the road! That team didn’t look like they were beating anybody!

It’s a new team in Philly right now though. Guys have gotten healthier. Young players have improved their game tremendously. And the team is just flat out clicking at the right time. And somehow, some way, the Eagles squeaked their way into the sixth seed of the NFC playoff picture and picked up a win against the Chicago Bears. Now, they will get their anticipated rematch.

That’s right – the Eagles wanted the Saints again. Was the first game a fluke? Who knows. Seeing as though the Eagles kept every game close this season except for that one, it wouldn’t be crazy to think that it was. The Saints were out for blood that game. For whatever reason, New Orleans feels disrespected by the Eagles since they were the team that defeated the Minnesota Vikings en route to winning Super Bowl LII.

Ever since their meltdown in Minnesota last year, the Saints wanted to destroy the Eagles. So they did, and they did it with very little class as they ran the score up on a team that was apparently defeated and on to the next week before the four quarters were up. The Eagles didn’t say much after that loss, but it’s evident that they feel a particular type of way. And now, the Birds are out to get some revenge of their own this Sunday against the Saints.

Jason Peters remembers that game vividly

The Eagles knew their opponent for next week right after the game on Sunday. While most of the team was celebrating getting by in the first round, Eagles left tackle Jason Peters is already looking ahead towards their next opponent. To say that the Eagles feel disrespected by the Saints would be an understatement. That team has done everything that they could to send shots at the Eagles. From downplaying their Super Bowl victory to running the score up on them, and to even talking smack about their ski mask celebrations by calling them frauds.

The Saints hate the Eagles, and now Jason Peters and the Eagles are looking to give them a taste of their own medicine this week. The game won’t be easy, and it will probably come down to the wire once again. But don’t think for a second that the Eagles are going to roll over and take the loss the way they did during the first meeting back in Week 11. The Birds are coming for revenge. It’s a do-or-die situation, and we all know how the Eagles do when the season is on the line.
