Jay Ajayi and Corey Clement couldn’t be in Chicago for the Eagles playoff win, but you bet they were celebrating still on Sunday.

Once again, the Philadelphia Eagles are moving along in the NFL playoffs for the second season in a row. And just like last season, they are missing a few key players that are dealing with season-ending injuries. Whenever players are on the injured reserve, they typically don’t attend all of the games. For some, it’s more comfortable to just watch the game from the comfort of their own homes, rather than standing on the sidelines.

Guys like Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, and Jalen Mills are all on the Eagles injured reserve for the rest of the year. Nobody will be making a return. Therefore, there isn’t much of a need for them to be around for practice or the games while they are going through the rehabilitation process. Just because they aren’t in attendance doesn’t mean that they aren’t cheering for their team though.

For the last few Sunday’s, you could catch Jalen Mills on Twitter, live-tweeting the games like the rest of us. He speaks his mind on bad calls/plays, and also roots for his teammates as the game is going on. Although Jay Ajayi and Corey Clement are a little less outspoken on social media, they still had a moment on Facetime after Sunday’s win against the Bears.

Moments after the game, Ajayi posted up a video to his Instagram story dancing around the house to Meek Mill’s ‘Going Bad’ song on his new album titled ‘Championships’,  which has a theme based around the Eagles Super Bowl LII win. Oh, the irony. After the video, Ajayi had a still screenshot of himself Facetiming with a smiling Corey Clement as well. Clearly, the injured running backs were celebrating the teams win. Also, you could spot Ajayi in the comments of Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill’s live video feed on Instagram as well shortly after the game.

So the running back couldn’t be in attendance, but he evidently wanted to celebrate the Eagles postseason victory. The Eagles could’ve used Ajayi and Clement’s services on Sunday, as their backfield averaged under two yards-per-carry. But at the end of the day, the Eagles ended up on top with a score of 16-15. Hopefully, the offense picks it up a bit this Sunday as they are set to take on the New Orleans Saints.
