The Philadelphia Eagles have advanced in the 2018-2019 NFL Playoffs. Which players are deserving of a game ball?

The Philadelphia Eagles are victorious! The team that everybody counted out last month is officially on the road to New Orleans next week to face the Saints in the Divisional Round. It wasn’t an easy win for the Birds over the Chicago Bears, but as we all know, they will take it however they can get it. And boy, the Eagles got it with a nail-biting 16-15 victory on the road.

Was it perfect? Absolutely not. As a matter of fact, it was far from an ideal game. Once again, the Eagles just had to do everything in their power to make this one interesting all the way to the end. In retrospect, the Eagles should’ve had a comfortable win. They committed some terrible penalties that gave Chicago a massive advantage, and they had some lousy turnovers in crucial spots. And speaking of turnovers, the Eagles missed on snagging a couple of those as well.

All in all, Philly was the better team on Sunday, despite the regular season records and the playoff standings. That’s no disrespect to the Bears, who are a solid football team. But it was clear that the Eagles wanted that victory more throughout all phases of the game. Fortunately, the Eagles will live to see another week as they move on to the next round. Before we start discussing the Divisional round though, let’s credit those players who deserve a game ball from Sunday’s win.
