Apparently, Carson Wentz has turned into a selfish player within the Philadelphia Eagles locker room. But according to players, it’s ‘fake news.’

You can’t believe everything that you read on the internet nowadays. We all know by now that there is a ton of ‘fake news’ out there. Although it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s fake, it’s ultimately up to the reader to decide if they want to believe what they see or not. With the Philadelphia Eagles season being over, the drama is just beginning. After spending a month or two hearing about how the Eagles play better with Nick Foles under center, rather than Carson Wentz, a story with ‘anonymous sources’ give legs to that particular theory.

On Monday morning, an exclusive report from The Philly Voice came out, which described Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz as a bit of a selfish leader in the locker room. Although Carson Wentz is the franchise quarterback and is voted as a captain by his teammates, he’s apparently not everything that the local media and Eagles fans make him out to be. If this story happens to be true, then Carson Wentz has officially lost the locker room as the franchise quarterback.

Here are a few quotes from the piece, courtesy of PhillyVoice:

"Whereas some circles blamed the Eagles’ offensive failures on new offensive coordinator Mike Groh, numerous sources in and around the NFL and Eagles said they thought Wentz may have been the root of the Eagles’ offensive problems. Groh is a “good coach,” who was “bullied” by Wentz, according to sources. The problem with the offense this past season shouldn’t lie with Groh, it should “lie with Wentz,” they said. One thing is certain: Every one of our sources said the same things almost verbatim about the relationship between Wentz and Nick Foles: “They love each other, they respect each other and they support each other.”But while the sentiment in the Eagles’ locker room is that Foles is “universally loved,” Wentz isn’t."

There’s a lot more to the story, but if any of it is true, then Carson Wentz has a lot of work to do in an attempt to get the locker room back into his favor. However, there are already Eagles players who are coming to the defense of their quarterback. Although the original story does not name one player, or staffer to back these claims, Wentz’s teammates are coming out of the woodworks with Tweets in an attempt to defend their guy.
