How can the Philadelphia Eagles clear up some cap space? Well, ESPN has suggested four moves that could tremendously help out the Birds.

The 2019 NFL offseason is underway, and the Philadelphia Eagles have tons of work to do. Similar to last year, this offseason is fitting to be different for the Eagles. Last season, they were coming into the offseason as Super Bowl champions. Best of all though, the Eagles weren’t anticipating to lose too many key players to free agency. This year though, well that’s a different story.

Not only are the Eagles no longer the defending Super Bowl champs, but they are also seemingly turning a page in their franchise. This year, the Eagles will lose quite a few significant factors from their team, and they don’t have the cap space to retain them all. As a matter of fact, they don’t have much cap space at all. Now, it’s not time to go into panic mode just yet. After all, Howie Roseman does seem to be a bit of a wizard when it comes to the cap.

We can’t just solely rely on a ton of re-structured deals to make cap space magically appear though. Some key moves will have to be made. Whether that involves trading, cutting, or maybe re-structuring deals, a lot has to be done. If the Eagles want to remain one of the NFC’s playoff caliber teams, they must not only bring in a couple of solid free agents, but they also have to knock this draft out of the park. In order to make some signings though, they might have to consider one, or four of these suggestions from ESPN.
