There’s a lot of talent in the free agency pool this offseason. Here’s some of what’s being said about the Philadelphia Eagles’ chances of landing any of them.

Trying to identify who the best available free agents are could be seen as a difficult task for several reasons. For instance, during any given play on a football field, there are 22 men involved in the action at the same time. Different men play different positions. In the case of the Philadelphia Eagles, something else needs to be considered.

For the second-straight offseason, ‘The Birds’ are almost certain to say goodbye to several key contributors who have played a role in this team’s success. Even before that happened, we knew Philly needed help everywhere from the skill positions to the secondary. It’s difficult to identify who’s better because it can’t truly be proven that a wide receiver is a better player than an edge rusher.

Therefore, pooling the 20 ‘best’ free agent targets can be subjective and debatable. We’ll try, for the sake of argument. Here’s a list of some notable names that we all can agree are among the league’s best. Might Philly be able to land one or two of them? Let’s see what the chances are or if there’s any interest.
