A recent tweet won’t quiet the rumors of the Philadelphia Eagles possibly adding Le’Veon Bell to the roster. Neither will the response from Chris Long.

Recently, it hasn’t been strange to see the Philadelphia Eagles fan base on opposite sides of some very interesting conversations. Some said trade Carson Wentz. Some said keep him. Some said make Nick Foles the starting quarterback. Others said trade him. Here we are with the new league year approaching, and Le’Veon Bell is becoming a very interesting topic of conversation.

No one’s heard anything substantial from the Eagles organization on the subject, but we may have gotten the stamp of approval from one of the fan faves, defensive end Chris Long.

Check out Bell’s tweet.

Correct us if we’re wrong, but that doesn’t make it seem as though Bell’s sickened by the idea of trading his black and gold Pittsburgh Steelers jersey for some midnight green Eagles threads.

Chris Long expressed his approval of the idea a little over one hour later.

Bell offers an immediate upgrade for a running back room in Philly if, indeed, that’s a part of the thought process. For some reason, we want to keep forgetting that this is a deal that may be almost impossible to pull off financially, but we also are very familiar with Eagles vice president of football operations Howie Roseman.

They say where there’s a will there’s a way. That saying can be amended slightly now if you’re an Eagles fan or anyone who’s paid this team any attention over the course of the time that we’ve all known who Roseman is.

If there’s any way that Philly can get Bell to the Novacare Complex and sign him, Howie’s going to figure out what it is. Then, once the deal is done, he’ll figure out how to make things work financially.
